1. Agreeing to these terms
By using winisland.in ("winisland", "we", "us") you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. The service
winisland offers free browser-based tools for parties, games, classrooms and giveaways. We may add, change or remove tools or features at any time, and we don't promise the site will always be available or error-free.
3. Using the tools fairly
You agree not to:
- use winisland for gambling, betting, lotteries or any game where people pay money for a chance to win money or prizes;
- use the tools for anything illegal, or to harass, embarrass or harm other people;
- present a result as something it isn't, such as editing a screenshot or re-running a draw until you get the "winner" you wanted;
- try to break, overload or copy the site, or get around its security.
4. Giveaways and contests you run
If you use winisland to pick winners, the giveaway is yours, not ours. You are responsible for its rules, eligibility, prizes and delivery, and for following the laws of your country and the rules of any platform you run it on (such as Instagram, YouTube or WhatsApp).
winisland is not a sponsor, organiser or judge of any giveaway, and is not connected with or endorsed by Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, Meta or Google. Any dispute about a result is between you and your participants.
5. What you type in
The names and lists you enter stay in your browser (see our Privacy Policy). Only enter names you have a right to use, and don't enter sensitive details such as phone numbers, addresses or ID numbers. You keep any rights you have in what you type.
6. Results
Our tools use your browser's cryptographic random number generator to make every pick fair. Results are for fun and fair decisions, and are provided without any guarantee. We aren't responsible for decisions you make based on them.
7. Our content
The winisland name, logo, design, artwork, code and text belong to us. You're welcome to:
- share screenshots and screen recordings of your results (keeping the "Picked on winisland.in" mark);
- print tambola tickets and Secret Santa slips for your own events.
Please don't copy the site, sell our printables or tools as your own, or remove the winisland mark from results you share.
8. Ads and links to other sites
The site may show ads and contain links, including affiliate links, to other websites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
9. No warranty
winisland is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that it will meet your needs or work without interruption, errors or data loss. Saved lists live in your browser and can be lost if you clear your browser data, so keep a copy of anything important.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, winisland is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if that is more.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. This doesn't take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country you live in.
